SABINE KALTER presented as the first vocal artist in the concerts of the Palestine Orchestra, is a well-known member of the most famous Opera-houses abroad. She has figured for many years as leading contralto of the State Opera at Hamburg, singing frequently also in Berlin and Vienna, as well as in later years at the Theatre de la Mon- naie, Brussels, the Grand Opera, Paris and the Royal Covent Garden, London. It . was in London that she attained her most glamorous successes in the parts of Ortrud and Brangane, shaping them in a great Wagnerian style, that called forth the utmost admiration of the critics.
